UPDATED to include day TWO, July 13, of our first trip!
You know, it's funny, I've been planning and hoping to journal and/or scrapbook our adoption story for the past five years, but as it turns out I'm apparently going to "blog" it! Who would of thought it? :-)
July 8, 2007 marks the fifth anniversary of probably the most exciting and stressful 11 days of my entire life, because THAT is the day I received the call from our adoption agency telling us when we'd be able to meet our soon-to-be daughters! Just four short days after that phone call John and I were in Russia!
I plan to post a daily entry here using the actual date--for the sake of historic accuracy--through July 18 when we returned from our whirlwind FIRST trip to Russia to meet our girls and commit to adopting them. To make it easy for you, I'll provide the links below so you won't have to go searching the archives!
July 8, 2002 - ""THE" phone call"
July 12, 2002 - "First trip - Leavin' for Russia"
July 13, 2002 - "First Trip - Day Two: JFK to Frankfurt, to Moscow"
July 14, 2002 - "First Trip - Day Three: Moscow!"
Stay tuned, there will be posts for July 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, & 18th!!! :-)

Congratulations! I hope you have a wonderful celebration...
blessings.
ellen b: Thanks! I'm just a sentimental fool--always have been. The absolutely best part is retelling the story to the girls--they love hearing our side of it and being reminded of details they missed or forgot.
I'm reading along. What a great story!!! I can't even begin to imagine the anticipation that filled your hearts!
And what wonderful friendship from your fellow believers - not having to pay for your flights. What a blessing.
Oh wow!! I get to live it all over again, too!! What fun!
Blessings
Ramona
Thanks for sharing this!
This is awesome! Wow! I love hearing other adoption stories.
Dan: I'm honored that you took the time to visit our adoption blog and comment! I'm also delighted to know that God is placing Xians in key places within the adoption community.
